The ruins are in a precarious state and are likely to collapse altogether without remedial work and stabilisation. 

Our funding comes from grants and donations from the local community and local businesses.

Over the last five years, with the enthusiastic help of local volunteers, we have been restoring a hay meadow environment and improving habitat for wildlife. Our aim is for local people and visitors to enjoy, appreciate and understand the context of the site, the history of the ruins and the current environmental initiatives.

Once the ruins are stabilised, we want to develop a centre of excellence that provides learning opportunities for young professionals in stone masonry and restoration, churchyard management, high demand yet declining skills, and wider opportunities for people to learn green skills related to habitat management and species identification, using our Village spaces and facilities.
